Photo reports from the North Lakes Tour 2024
Monday 16th to Thursday 19th September 2024


The tour participants enjoyed some glorious weather in the Lake District - blue skies, sunshine and calm Autumn air.

Three day programme:

Tour to the Southern Lakes and the Lakes Motor Museum via Ullswater, then over Kirkstone Pass to Bowness on Windermere. Returning via Hawkshead, Brantwood, Coniston, Ellterwater, Grasmere and Keswick to Penrith.

Tour to and a trip on the Ravenglass and Eskdale Railway via Ambleside and the two passes of Hardknott and Wrynose. A relaxing return trip on "Old Ratty" followed by the Western route back via the Honister pass, Derwentwater and Keswick to Penrith.

Tour into Teesdale via the Hartside summit, Alston, to the Highforce Hotel for an end of tour Brunch and visit to High Force Waterfall.

The tour was arranged by Tony Smith with a three day programme of visits in the North of the Lake District based at the North Lakes Hotel & Spa near Penrith.
