An exceptional RV8 in Oxford Blue sold for £17,584 including the buyer's premium and VAT at a Classic Car Auctions' sale as it was a UK spec, pre-production car which had been used for a power steering test installation by MG Rover, so inevitably with those exceptional features it attracted a premium price. CCA graded the car as 3 stars out of 5, possibly in the middle of our Conditions 1 and 2. The buyer's premium was 10%.
A good looking RV8 in Woodcote Green sold for £11,800 at Bonhams' auction including the buyer's premium and VAT. It was a Japan spec reimported example in Woodcote Green with a modest mileage of 37,000 and the condition looked good, possibly Condition 1 but almost certainly Condition 2. It appears this car was sold at a discount to our guide prices - 24% below Condition 1 and 17% below the mid Condition 1 and 2 price and surprisingly 9% below our Condition 2 price.
Both prices above include the buyer's premium and VAT on that fee payable to the auction house.
