The
MG Car Club is proud to announce its nomination for three prestigious
awards in 2024
Following the Club's success in 2023 - when it won the Octane
Historic Motoring Award for 'Club of the Year' and the RAC
'Motoring Spectacle Award' at the Royal Automobile Club
in London - it has been nominated once again. It's a remarkable
achievement and a true reflection of the dedication of everyone
who makes the MG Car Club the "Marque of Friendship."
The first nomination is for 'Club of the Year' at the
International Historic Motoring Awards, presented by Lockton.
The organisers praised the Club's outstanding contributions
to the classic and collector car world, stating, "Your
nomination stood out among a highly competitive field of entries."
The MG Car Club has also been shortlisted for the RAC Motoring
Spectacle Award, recognising its role in helping organise
the inaugural Inter-club International Weekend event at Malvern.
Judges acknowledged that this event, along with the overwhelming
support it garnered, demonstrated the strength of the classic
car community when working together.
The third nomination is for the new prestigious Lancaster
Insurance Motor Show's 'Hall of Fame'. This recognition
is due to the Club's forward-thinking initiatives, particularly
its efforts to engage younger enthusiasts in the hobby. The
judges noted, "Despite numerous challenges, the MG Car
Club remains committed to working alongside other clubs for
the greater good of the wider community."
These three awards ceremonies will take place during November
2024.
