As we reach the 30th anniversary of the launch of the MG RV8 model in 1992 and the 45th anniversary of the formation of the V8 Register in 1978, we have a series of articles and features reflecting on many of the memorable moments, news items and photos enjoyed by fellow V8 enthusiasts.

MG RV8 production completed
The completion of MG RV8 production was the lead item for the weekly report released by the Rover Group Cowley on 30th November 1995. "The 2000th and last MG RV8 was driven off the production line on Wednesday 22nd November 1995. Although small in numbers, the car provided publicity and a great deal of interest in Rover which kept the MG name and brand alive post Abingdon. 951130 More
Hurricane damaged RV8 restored
Ken Watson's RV8 restoration is unusual - the car was swamped by a tidal surge on the Cayman Island during a hurricane in 2004 but was brought back to the UK where Ken and Early BBBs (which is now called R G Classics) in Hampshire undertook the hard work of stripping and refurbishing the car. Ken's RV8 was seen a Club race meeting at Castle Coombe in 2007. See a full account of the restoration. 070819 More

RV8GT - an attractive classic conversion
This conversion was built using all genuine RV8 parts throughout including trim and is
immaculate underside as it is on the bodywork. All chassis modifications were carried
out to accept all RV8 running gear. The car is actively used by Peter Kuruber at track days organised by the Club's MGs on Track group. More
