Earlier report
Pricewatch spotter Ken Clayton has seen this restomod offered for sale but bidding closed yesterday and
only reached £15,500 which possibly reflected the lack of interest in the car rather than its underlying value from the restoration work. Modified MGV8s are always a topic where enthusiasts have differing interests and tastes.

A noticeable trend in the MGV8 market over the last 2 years is an awareness of the considerable increase in the cost of restoration work (both parts and specialist labour costs) with Conditions 2 & 3 car prices easing back where various levels of restoration might be needed to get a car to Condition 1 condition.

For a buyer looking for an MGBGTV8 with an uprated engine and many attractive upgrades this car is likely to be of interest. How far the bidding would go was interesting to see - it only reached £15,500 which possibly reflected the lack of interest in the car (a restomod MGBGTV8 Conversion and not a Factory MGBGTV8) rather than its underlying value from the restoration work. A Frontline MGBGTV8 could also be attractive option but costing a great deal more. One was reported advertised for sale and sold at £64,995. Fender Broad website
