managed to source four brand-new Dunlop wheels but one has now been damaged by
the wheel nuts not being tightened sufficiently by a garage in Motherwell! The
holes are fretted and no longer round. It may be possible to repair! Sad as I
had already torqued all the wheel nuts to 60 pound-feet as recommended in the
workshop notes but the rear wheels were subsequently removed by the garage! 250912 |

Does anybody have a broken
MGBGTV8 gearbox lying around? I just need the front cover plate. This part is
held to the front of the gearbox by 8 nuts. The part number 22B684 is cast into
it. Alternatively, is anybody interested in a complete Factory V8 gearbox with
a cracked front cover plate? The gearbox has a brand new laygear and several other
new parts inside. I also have the original V8 overdrive unit that came with it.

MGB Roadster bodyshell is an early
Heritage shell from 1990, modified to take a V8 engine and gear box. The paintwork
is in primer. There is a small dent/scratch on the top of the off side front wing,
other than that it completely sound having been stored in the rafters of my garage
for the last 20 years. I enclose six photos which give a guide to the condition

sale - replacement RV8 wheel centre security bolts
Paul Ireland reports
"one of the members in East Anglia had the wheel centre stolen from their
RV8. To reduce the risk of this happening again, I got some security bolts manufactured
(see photo alongside) in stainless steel just like the original security bolts.
These are basically the same as the originals with the exception they have a pin
in the centre of the hex key so you cannot undo them with a standard Allen key.
I still have some left at £20.00 for a set of four bolts and a key
plus P&P. More |
