Glorious 3 days and 500 miles in the North West Highlands

Tony Smith joined a memorial tour with his RV8 (Oxford Blue 0025 ADO402) to remember Tim Moore a long time MG Car Club member with an MGCGT who recently passed away with MND. Tim and his wife Christine lived in Portree on Skye and then moved to Dingwall last year. Richard Jenner, also an MG Car Club member, and Christine arranged this memorial run for Tim and Highland MG members.

Tony says "the run started from a couple of meeting points - Glen Rowan Café at Invermoriston and the Kintail Lodge at Sheil Bridge. We went over the Ratagan Pass to the Glenelg Inn for lunch (with views of the Five Sisters) and after lunch to Arnisdale and Coran with views over to Knoydart. We returned via the brochs at Gleann Beag near Glen Elg. Christine accompanied me in the RV8 for a few miles. She was impressed with the comfort.

A 5 hour drive of 200 miles home to the Borders with the hood down all the way - our magnificent country made even better when the sun is out.
