Catch
a gadget if the suction pad on the screen fails
Various devices fixed to holders secured on the windscreen
with a suction pad can fall - often if the weather changes from dry
cold to moist warmer conditions, with bright subshine on the screen.
Then on getting into your car you will find the device and suction
mount are on the floor or passenger seat. Dropping between two and
three feet can cause damage to dashcams and satnavs.
Well here is a simle DIY solution to avoid the "big drop"!
Just get a length of cotton thread and loop it round the arm securing
the rear view mirror and then looped round the dashcam - when it does
occasionally drop it will be left "dangling in suspenders".
The suction pad can then be refixed. Seen from the driving position
the dashcam is behind the rear view mirror so the cotton thread is
not visible - using a black thread can reduce the visibility of the
loop of cotton thread.

Note;
I see I need to update the date and time on my dashcam!
