How has classic motoring suffered in the Budget?

Fuel duty - increases are now phased
The 3p per litre fuel duty increase due this month has been changed - it will now be phased in three instalments - 1p in April 2010, 1p in October 2010 and 0.76p in January 2011, and then 1p in real terms each year in 1st April from 2011 to 2014. Commentators say "this provides small comfort with the current high fuel costs" at 120p/litre. A postponement of the 3p increase had been predicted in the press and on radio ahead of the Budget. More
