What
does the CD look like?
The RV8 Workshop Notes CD is produced with an attractive
label and inserts in the plastic CD case, together with an insert
which describes the files on the CD and provides instructions on
how to load the files. The files are in both Word and PDF formats
and a copy of Acrobat Reader is provided on the CD for members who
do not already have the software for reading PDF files. The CD package
is sent to you in a special protective cardboard box.
What
does the RV8 Workshop Notes series aim to do?
The Notes are contributed by members based on their experiences
with maintaining their MG RV8s or finding specialist RV8 spares
and services. The series started in 1999 and Bryan Ditchman was
the first editor and now Brian Moyse has taken over the role of
editing the series and encouraging contributions from members of
the V8 Register. Many individual notes have been published in the
V8 Register monthly columns in Safety Fast! Today
contributions are increasingly coming via the V8 Bulletin Board
on the V8 Website.
RV8 Repair Manual is different
For new RV8 members of the V8 Register, do note that the
RV8 Workshop Notes series described above is not the same
as the Factory produced RV8 Repair Manual AKM7153 which members
will almost certainly want to obtain as a basic document. You can
obtain a copy of the RV8 Repair Manual - it is available on CD as
one of the very useful manuals on the RV8
Technical Information CD supplied by Ames MG at Bury
St Edmunds. Just click that link for full details of the contents
of the CD, prices and the contacts for Keith
Baylis at Ames MG.
