We have heard from Iain Biddle that his father, David Biddle,
has "passed away peacefully on Wednesday 17th June 2026 at the
Masonic Care Home in Watford. He had been suffering from dementia
for some time and had been living at the care home since October 2025.
We expect to have details of the funeral arrangements in the coming
days and will let you know as soon as they are confirmed. This may
also be available to view live via ZOOM.
Thank you
for your friendship with my father over the years. I know he valued
the many happy times and memories he shared with his friends".

Funeral
arrangements
Iain Biddle has confirmed "the service will be held at
2:00pm on Monday 20 July 2026 at Amersham Crematorium.
Afterwards, everyone is welcome to join us for the wake at The
Hit & Miss, Penn Street. For
anyone unable to attend in person, the funeral will also be
available to watch online. Viewing details will be sent nearer
the date to those who have requested them. Unfortunately,
my mother won't be able to attend the funeral in person, but
she will be watching the online service with my wife and I.
My brother, Keith, will be attending the service at Amersham
and will also be at the wake afterwards. If you haven't already
done so, it would be helpful to hear if you are planning to
attend so that we can advise the pub of catering requirements,
and if you have any dietary requirements/alegies then please
let me know at the same time". Iain
