(Blaze 0099) seen for sale again in Australia.
In a V8 Facebook post John Davies reports "Sharing this
Marketplace post, courtesy Stephen Brown who spotted it. This
is so-called Flame 99 a pre-production V8 exported to Australia
a number of years ago. Aside from the additional front bumper
ironmongery and some under-bumper lights it looks fairly original.
It featured in David Knowles’ first book on the topic ‘MG
V8 - 21 years on’ back then. If memory serves it was sold
at auction in Australia about 3 years ago so interesting to
see it resurface. To save you the effort $100k AUD is near-enough
£50k exactly, so the vendor values it as roughly double
the going rate for a very good car in the UK".

The auction listing mentioned "The first Pre-Production
Development Company Prototype MGBGTV8 is offered by the family
of the owner David Darke, who has sadly passed away. The auction
is live to around 16th December 2022". We have no information
on the outcome of the auction and whether the car was sold or
if remained in the Darke family.
