Thames Valley Air Ambulance operates as a charity
It might surprise you, but a third of people in our community don’t realise Thames Valley Air Ambulance is a charity. That means every lifesaving mission is funded by people like you - not the government, not the NHS. When people understand this, they’re more likely to support them, and that support makes all the difference. It’s what puts their crews by the side of patients, delivering urgent critical care when they need it most. It’s also what enables the Aftercare team to be there for patients and their families long after the emergency is over.

As an independent charity they rely solely on the generosity of supporters to bring critical care to our community when it matters most.
