Moss Europe
has sent out an email with a link to a guide to understanding,
checking and fixing electrical issues with your classic car.
The topics include fitting a twin relays kit to your headlamps
circuit to protect your ageing switches and loom, particularly
with headlamp upgrades with higher power loads.
Guide to classic car electrical issues
The guide refers to an excellent book - MGB Electrical System
by Rick Astley - which Moss say "covers everything
from understandable theory, to recommendations for upgrades
and replacements for troublesome electrical components. The
Moss Europe part number is MGL0333.
On following the link to the online sales webpage there is a
notice there that the book is "out of stock" at present.

Moss say the book "covers everything from understandable
theory, to recommendations for upgrades and replacements for
troublesome electrical components. The 185 page book is filled
with colour photographs of components and simplified wiring
diagrams of your MGBs electrical circuits. Both early, and late
model MGBs are covered, as well as differences between UK and
export models. We rate this book a "must have".

Moss Europe's "Fixing your electrics" guide ends with
a final wise comment - be patient with electrics, try to understand
how your car is wired and work through things logically. You
might eventually need to call in the experts, but it's satisfying
sorting issues yourself unaided. Especially if you get something
working again that's been faulty for ages. |
