How
much bigger are modern cars compared with an MGBGTV8?
Relative visibility - relative size & daytime lighting concerns
A recent note was
released on "relative visibility" which has become an
increasing concern for classic car drivers on roads in the UK. The
daytime lighting options
for classic car drivers have also been reviewed with headlight upgrades

As
many MGV8 enthusiasts grease up their front suspension and service
their car for an enjoyable drive as fine Spring weather appears,
when you are out on the road just how much bigger are modern
cars than an MGBGTV8? Over the Autumn and Winter the number
of SUVs and Chelsea tractors on our roads has increased and
so has their size. Their relative size is much larger when compared
with a classic car. See our analysis which shows a large
4x4 is around 41% higher, 46% wider and has a perceived frontal
area which is around 105% greater than that of an MGBGTV8.
The headlight beams project through the lower half of the tailgate
and into the eyes of an MGBGTV8 driver.
