The Archive of the British Motor Industry Heritage Trust preserves
the surviving records of some of the most famous names in British
motoring history. The Archive department offers a classic car
owner a Heritage Certificate which is a certified copy of the
entry against the chassis number in the authentic factory ledgers.
Discover the original numbers and colour scheme, build date
and where available, the details of factory fitted equipment.

the Administrators of MG Rover Ltd. in Liquidation. The
company is authorised to supply a selection of Codes and Certificates
on
behalf of MG Rover Group using their branded paperwork to
persons and organisations that can prove they have a right to
the information. The charges for this service are approved by

Body
Audit Card and Certificate
The British Motor Heritage (BMH) body plant at Witney holds
the RV8 body build records as it built the RV8 bodies at its
former manufacturing plant at Faringdon for the Factory production
of the RV8 model at Cowley. The information is based only on
the body number which you can find on the slam panel and not
on the VIN number. BMH Witney offers this as a free service
for RV8 owners and produces the documents in occasional batches,
so if you request a document do be prepared for some delay.

Body in White history card
Each body assembled at the British Motor Heritage body plant
at Faringdon was inspected before despatch to the vehicle assembly
plant at Cowley and the history card was completed and retained.
The example above has been provided by the BMH Body Plant now
located at Witney in Oxfordshire from the RV8 bodyshell production
records archives it holds. This card is the record for body
number 1280 and our document shows both sides of the card. More |
