Hidden
under the twin SU carburettors on an MGBGTV8 is
a steel pipe which can rust quite badly and need
replacement. It is the heater water valve pipe BHH1065
which is attached to the induction manifold under
the carburettors. It's not an easy part to find
in the manuals but the notes below provide the page
references. If you need to replace the pipe, the
good news is Clive Wheatley has resourced the part
in a better quality material, 405 stainless steel,
so it should remove the rusting problem. At £39.50
including VAT it compares well with the price of
the old steel unit at around £27. |
