published in Safety Fast!, the award

This month we

on the track at Silverstone, a reminder of the V8 Shropshire

of the RV8 Workshop Notes series.

Another exclusive Members' Track Day has been arranged for
Tuesday 6th April 2004 when V8 members will have an opportunity
to drive their road cars on the National Circuit at Silverstone
for six sessions of 20 minutes. These sessions are planned and run
by MGs on Track, a branch of the MG Car Club which specialises in
planning and running track days. Full details are available - see
our briefing note
where you can download a copy of the application form.
The V8 Shropshire Tour 2004 will be based at the Longmynd
Hotel in Church Stretton over the long weekend Friday 24th to
27th September 2004 . The organisers, Derek and Ellen Spencer
Jones, have reserved 25 rooms at the hotel at £145 per person
for the three nights
dinner, bed and breakfast. The Spencer Jones say numbers will be
restricted as the hotel seems to be booking up well ahead so if
you would like to join the V8 Tour, send your booking to them with
a £25.00 deposit per room made payable to "V8 Register
- MG Car Club" with an SAE so they can

for further details where a booking form can be downloaded.
Volume 6 of the RV8 Workshop Notes has been completed at
Note 197 and we are now into the working draft of Volume 7. Brian
Moyse, the new editor of the series, has made a prompt start with
the new volume with the continuing flow of members' contributions.
Copies of the series are available on CD in Word and PDF formats
and update discs are available for members who have previously purchased
a copy of the Notes. Full details of the
content of the series, the availability, and price are on
the V8 Website plus an updated index to the series which members
can download free of charge. The original V8 Workshop Notes
series is also closing Volume 8 very shortly at Note 299.
