Patrick O'Brien placed a "V8 wanted "advert on the
V8 website on Tuesday 6th October and within four days he had
found the V8 he wanted through the advert ! From his email he
was clearly delighted.

Subject: V8 wanted
Well, the V8 Register has done it again. After just a
week on the V8 website my advertisement for a V8 has paid
dividends. On Saturday last (10th October) I bought a
Factory MGBGTV8 in the condition and colour I desired.
Just as I was about to travel to Cambridge to view one
I saw for sale in "Enjoying MG" I got a call
as a result of my advert. As it turned out the car in
Cambridge did need a lot of tidying up. However, the call
I got described a car in good condition that was restored
a while ago (when its colour was changed to black). Unbelievably,
the car was this side of the water. An Englishman living
temporarily in Kinsale, Co. Cork had an MGBGTV8 with just
the spec I wanted. I travelled there on Saturday and bought
the car. As I am off to Portugal on Wednesday I will not
collect the car until the 24th but what a pleasure and
relief to know I've found what I was seeking. I shall
enjoy my holiday all the more.
I really must stop buying cars now. I have a 1971 MGB
Roadster, 1972 Midget, 1959 MGA and a 1971 Mercedes. 350SL.
Enough is enough! Many thanks to you and the V8 Register
for your help. As soon as I receive the car I will send
the full details to the Register but for now the registration
number is GFV 745 N and the VIN: GD2D11083G.
Kindest regards,
Pat |
