MGLive! 2010 dates confirmed at last!
Club Office has confirmed the dates for its popular MGLive! event at the Silverstone Circuit as Friday 4th to Sunday 6th June 2010 and also announced a very special feature - the full motor racing programme will be on the Grand Prix circuit!

Celebrating 60 years of annual MG Car Club meetings at Silverstone
The MG Car Club has held its annual meeting at Silverstone each year since 1959 so this year the Club is set to celebrate 60 glorious years of consecutive meetings at the iconic circuit.

Club racing on the Grand Prix circuit is something special
It's a rare honour for an amateur motor club to be able to run a full race meeting on the full 3.2 mile Grand Prix circuit. The switch from the shorter International Circuit the Club is usually allocated will allow MG Car Club competitors to experience the thrill of Stowe and Abbey – famous corners which will now roar to the sound of MGs from across nine decades. Ron Gammons, who has played a lead role in negotiating the new circuit hire contract, is clearly delighted as it "will be a once in a lifetime opportunity for many MG racers to enjoy the experience of lapping the full circuit." It will almost certainly not be available again so it will be memorable for both competitors and spectators. More

One consequence of the change to the longer circuit is the Club Chief Marshal will be looking for volunteers as additional marshals to cover the additional marshal posts around the Grand Prix circuit. So why not get a close up view of the action on trackside by volunteering as a marshal for the event. Marion Quarrington volunteered last year and is enthusiastically doing so again for 2010, so why not call Ian Quarrington or Marion to see how you can help in 2010? Call Ian on 01480 210783 or if you are visiting Brown & Gammons at Baldock, discuss what is involved with Ron Gammons. Alternatively call Club Office and speak with Julian White or Chris Seaward on 01235 555552.
