Quarrington was on the MG Car Club's stand at the
NEC Classic Car Show last weekend and says it was
a busy time as the Club's stand was very popular
with visitors. He adds "52 new members signed
up to join the MG Car Club over the three days of
the Classic Car Show, at least ten of whom were
V8 enthusiasts who either had cars already or wanted
to know how to buy one. I sold three copies of the
book "So you want to buy an MGBGT V8 or MG
RV8" and with our advice and knowledge we encouraged
people to look at what the Club and the V8 Register
can offer. I was amazed to be talking with one enthusiast
who was not a member but had owned his Harvest Gold
MGBGT V8 for twenty years and had never |
heard
of the Club or the V8 Register. He joined up straight
away when he heard he could get a CD of V8 Workshop
Notes for his car at a special discount if he became
a member." |
