with the MG display in the County museum at Abingdon

The
County Museum in Abingdon is being refurbished and
has been closed since late 2010. When it reopens,
hopefully in June 2012, it will contain a permanent
MG display which will be accessible during museum
opening hours. Those of you who have visited the
museum in the past will remember that the MG Room
was only open during weekends and manned by volunteers,
so a giant leap forward is almost upon us!
The latest stage in the refurbishment work occurred
recently as you can see from the photos alongside.
Here an MGB is lifted into the room through a window
- it was a tight fit! The event was covered by the
local media and may be viewed on the local BBC website.
