Harpenden Common was again the venue for the annual Classics on the Common, the largest informal classic car show in England. The weather was perfect and this clearly helped to boost the number of entrants, with both parts of the Common full by 6:00pm. The wonderful thing about this event is one never knows what may turn up and park beside you!
RV8 enthusiasts who were there included John Taylor, John Bolt and Karl Foot. There were very many other MG models there too. Harpenden Rotary Club were collecting for their charity with volunteers helping to make the evening go well. The event has become so popular that the Police now help marshal it and join in by escorting the classic motorbikes along the A1081 so the public get a good view of them.
