V8 Column
for June 2004 published in Safety Fast!, the award winning monthly magazine of the MG Car Club

This month we have news of the a reminder of the V8 arrangements for the V8 Party to le Mans, news of the relaunch of the V8 Bulletin Board, a V8 windscreen washer pump tip, and news of two V8 restorations.
The principal event for motoring enthusiasts this month is the 24 hours endurance race at le Mans and as usual a V8 Party is going. The contact is Chris Vernon who can be contacted by email at vernonrun@aol.com for further information. On the V8 Website you will find a comprehensive note to help plan a trip to le Mans and an update note for 2004. Just click the Rolling V8 Calendar button on the homepage.
The new V8 Bulletin Board was launched last month to replace the free bulletin board service we had enjoyed for nearly two years but sadly the provider, AgnesVestris, closed the service in March. The new V8BB offers powerful search facilities and a friendly, easy to use format. It is available on a free access basis with no password restrictions and is attracting useful technical and spares tips.
V8 windscreen washer pump. Bryan Ditchman reports the original windscreen washer pump (original part number BHA5146) is still available for the MGBGTV8 under Unipart No GWW125 for around £20 so fellow enthusiasts might feel it is time to stock up with a spare.
News of several V8 restorations has come in. Dr Gavin Bailey has a very substantial restoration of Glacier White 0199 in progress at a workshop down in Suffolk and news of the comprehensive restoration of Damask 1721 has come in from
