Private
sale - selection of MGBGTV8 parts
An interesting selection of V8 spares is offered for sale, many
of which are new in their boxes and others with only limited wear.
The spares offered include brand new front brake calipers, front
discs, a clutch repair kit, Lucas overdrive and indicators stalk
switch units, a new set of rear brake shoes, braided brake hoses,
and a pair of cooling fans. His used items included an overdrive
gearbox less the overdrive unit and a V8 back axle. Full details
of these spares will follow in the next week or so from Steve
Curtis but you can contact him on 01344 486442 (near
Reading in Berkshire) if you want to discuss any of the items. Steve
has an MGC and had a near concours MGBGTV8 (Harvest Gold 0803) which
was stolen at the MG Event at Epsom Racecourse just a few months
ago and sadly has not been recovered. By the way if you should see
his stolen V8 - registration GKF 472 N - do let him know
as soon as you can. We need to trace these thieves who steal good
quality classic cars to order. (2.12.03)

sale - an Abingdon MGBGTV8
Tahiti Blue 2383 - 1975 rubber bumper model, owned
for the past 11 years. Black leather trim throughout, original
Webasto sunroof. This car was subject to a major rebuild 18 months
ago with new doors, wings front and back, new bonnet and sills.
The engine has been modified with Peter Burgess "Econotune"
SD1 heads, and has K&N air filters, but still runs with the
standard SU carburettors. Also I have a Janspeed tubular exhaust
system from Clive Wheatley which sounds fantastic! The performance
gain is magnificent and its just as quick as my new RV8!! The
suspension has been uprated and lowered with uprated springs and
anti-rollbar. However I still use the original lever arm shocks
with uprated valves. The car is kept garaged at all times when
not in use and only sees the rain if I get caught out in a shower!
I have a fully documented history in my ownership, and have from
DVLC the full list of previous owners. I have owned other factory
MGBGTV8s, and this is without doubt the best I've had. The only
reason I'm selling is I need the space for something else. Only
96,500 miles. Price £7,995. Reasonable offers considered.
All original parts included in price.

Glacier White 1183 with
chrome bumpers, built May 1974, black vinyl roof with a Webasto

condition and still benefiting from a complete restoration by

Whilst the car is not bodily perfect, mechanically it has got
