Bollards bollox!

Mike Russell has spotted this photo of a maintenance gang erecting some pavement bollards in front of an office building in Manchester but were getting themselves into a tight spot. When they finished the job and wanted to leave in their van it must have needed a little more thought - and remedial work! Possibly the two bollards at the bottom of the picture may have been removeable bollards slotting into recessed cylinderical sockets set in the pavement - let's hope that was the case. (9.7.07)
