This copy of the MG price list effective from 15th February 1974 shows the price of the MGBGTV8 at £2,408.36 including special car tax and VAT. Inertia reel front seat belts were an extra £18.47! Now over 30 years on, the prices seem extraordinary! Compared with the standard MGBGT, the V8 had overdrive, special wheels, tinted windows and head restraints as standard implying a premium of around 20% for the MGBGTV8.
