A
recent V8 Bulletin Board thread launched by RV8 enthusiast Peter Wallis in Hampshire
mentioned that when his RV8 alternator had developed a fault, he found a small
alternator specialist in Harlow in Essex who was able to rebuild his unit. Peter
mentioned that initially he was going to purchase a new one and typed into Goggle
'Magneti Marelli A127 65' when a link to to a number of Land Rover spares suppliers
popped up. One he found was S & C Electrical in Harlow and, in response to
his email, they gave him the telephone number of the alternator specialist, Steve
Roffey. Peter contacted Steve and it went from there. But what are the options? |
 | Steve
Roffey's alternator rebuild service Peter Wallis notes the rebuild of
his RV8 alternator cost for £48 ex works plus £12 carriage and he
feels the quality of the original unit is far better than a replacement.
