Curry Night 2008
An annual V8 Curry Night has been a tradition of the V8 Register from its formation in 1978. It is usually held in early February and starts the programme of V8 Gatherings for the year! This year the V8 Curry Night is on Saturday 23rd February 2008 in Cambridge See latest update  The Cambridge Curry Centre, a spacious curry house in the centre of Cambridge. The Cambridge Curry Centre is in the centre of Cambridge.  The easiest route is to follow what Ian Quarrington refers to as the "highway to hell" - i.e the A14 east bound until you reach the junction with the A1303 which brings you directly into Castle Street via such landmarks at Girton and New Hall colleges. Just call Ian Quarrington on 07769 856101 Suggested hotel for an overnight stay Suggested hotels All Club members and friends welcome All members of the MG Car Club and their friends are very welcome to join V8 enthusiasts at their annual V8 Curry Night. Set menu this year There will be an extensive set menu priced at around £20.00 per person offering assorted starters, a choice of main courses all at varying temperatures from Kurma to Vindaloo, desserts & coffee. If any member has a specific dietary requirement, beyond vegetarian, the restaurant can cope with this given advanced warning. Drinks will be logged and paid for personally. The restaurant layout has round tables seating between 8 and 10 people so it will be very simple to mingle and chat to folk on other tables. So no limbo dancing skills will be needed to leave the table this year to get to the loo! The Cambidge Curry Centre has been booked for 7.00 for a 7.30pm start. Parking is free directly across the road at Shire Hall, which is the County Council head offices. The births, marriages and deaths registry offices are there but Ian believes the last wedding on a Saturday to be at 4 pm so we won't have a problem parking. The car park has barriers on both entry and exit but at weekends the entry barrier is permanently up and the exit opens as you approach it. Location
