RV8s
for sale

We ONLY sell
RV8s that WE have bought
- and we do not buy cars through brokers or other intermediaries.
The member of our team that actually inspects and buys the cars,
did his engineering training at MG Cars in Abingdon in the 1960's!

ALL our cars, without
exception, are shipped back to the UK in Containers. Moreover, our
cars are held under cover prior to containerisation, so that the
enormous efforts the guys in Japan make to find the best cars is
not wasted by careless or cheap transportation. We will not have
our cars trans-shipped one, two or even three times between Japan
and UK, and each time the dockers get to practise their donut techniques
in your pride and joy? We have seen cars damaged more in one RoRo
shipment that would be the case in half a dozen track days. RoRo
a new car and the dockers will look after it.... the car manufacturer
is their best customer and might even own the ship. Ro Ro might
be cheaper, but it always ends in tears: and if you don't believe
us, check out the rectification rates of new cars moved this way!
All our RV8s are supplied fully registered, directly into the name
of the purchaser, with a new MOT and the correct technical documentation.
All have new CD players, and come with a year's Subscription to
the MG Car Club and the V8 Register.
RV8
hoods
supplier
recommendation
MOTO-BUILD at EGHAM supply RV8 hoods to OE standards. Just call
01784 477 477 and talk to Grahame Davies. We have just had one
done and were very impressed, particularly as Grahame tailored
it to the car and the fit was superb. It was also excellent value.

Fred Jenns
first became involved in the prestige new car market in Japan in the
1970's, and since establishing his own company in 1987, has remained
heavily involved in both the sale of fine
cars to, and the sourcing of such cars from Japan. This has included
such delights as several Bugattis, many Jaguars, Lotus, Rolls Royce,
Bentley, and Aston Martins. CSC also have a substantial Franchised
Importer client base in the Caribbean and supplied the two Bentley
Arnage to the Sandy Lane Hotel in Barbados.

Fred's partner in
the UK is Nicky Paul-Barron, previously Sales Director for
a major London classic car dealer. Nicky has been consistently successful
in racing Lotus Cortinas and of course his Ferrari. He is also a regular
FOC Concours Judge and Test Day instructor.

WANTED
We actively seek excellent MG RV8 with documented histories. If

In
Japan,
Fred has enlisted the professional expertise of a very great friend
who was his boss in the 1970's when they were both working in Japan.
He has been a senior executive in the Japanese car industry for the
last 25 years. Having just nominally retired, he is now finding some
wonderful examples of the RV8. At this point, it was tempting to insert
a picture from the archives, dating from 1974 or 1975, of Fred in
a bar in Tokyo with his then boss (now buyer!) and a Japanese colleague,
Mr Kubota. As it appears to show Fred paying for a drink, it clearly
must be a forgery - although he still owns the rather lurid suit.

The CSC team
has a simply unrivalled combination of extensive local knowledge of
the Specialist car market in Japan over the last 30 years, with vast
expertise in the World of Classic, fine Sporting and Racing cars,
from Astons in Milwaukee, Ulsters in Pebble Beach, and Ferraris in
Yokohama. |

With this culture
of handling fine cars, the team has set out to find the best RV8 that
are available. We have deliberately avoided buying in Auction wherever
possible as experience over many years has shown that the best cars
very rarely get to the general used car Auctions. We are also very
conscious that the Auction grading system in Japan is open to much
uncertainty and interpretation. The inspectors have around 30 to 75
seconds to evaluate the cars, and write the reports. OK, practise
might make perfect, we are not going to gamble that any inspector
can 100% accurately appraise one RV8 amongst a thousand boring modern
grey sludgemobiles, and in the time it takes to read this paragraph???
Would you trust a long hand report scribbled in a character set that
you do not understand, describing an inspection that took all of a
minute, of a specialist and exceptionally rare car, in a barn like
facility, with the operator under extreme pressure as the transporters
line up out side??? We won't. |
