Finding
Burghfield Starter & Alternator Centre can be a little difficult
The simplest route is to leave the M4 at J12 and head East into
Reading and then after about two miles you pass the "Welcome
to Reading" sign and a pub called the Horncastle. Another quarter
of a mile you then come upon a set of traffic lights at a road junction.
Turn sharp right for Burghfield. After little more than a
mile the road narrows and you cross a narrow bridge over the Kennett
and Avon canal and then you just follow the road for some five miles
or so. You cross a bridge over the M4.See
the second map - after passing through Burghfield village, you go
up a hill and then as you pass along a 30mph limit with housing
either side, you will see a Q8 petrol station on the RHS,
sometimes called the Forge Garage.
Note: Burghfield Starters have a small workshop behind that
filling station which you can reach in the car through a narrow
entrance. There is a parking space opposite their workshop door
which is painted bright blue.
