New RV8 remote units available
Keith Baylis of Ames MG at Bury St Edmunds reports that the new RV8 remotes for the alarm YWX000320 are now available at £38.70 plus VAT. The new unit looks completely different to the original remote YWX10007 and is smaller. Keith reported in a V8 Bulletin Board posting in May 2003 that the old unit was "banned by the EU" - something to do with its frequency. He is still checking the situation regarding the remotes for Japan spec cars.
