The Abingdon Works Centre will be putting on another Summer
Day Out in 2003. It will be at Rousham House on Sunday
13th July. This will follow the established format of
of these annual AWC events with five separate road runs
to the venue of about 60 miles each. Rousham House is a superb
house which has been in the same family for over 500 years,
has a great deal of history and wonderful gardens running
down to the River Cherwell.

The entry fee for this event will be £15.00
per car including the passengers which will include a visit
to the house and gardens plus one of the five road runs to
Rousham. Other entertainments are planned on the field set
aside for the AWC Summer Day Out where there are a number
of large trees which will provide shade from the sunshine
the organiser, John Venables, has ordered for this event!
John Venables is also arranging for a mobile bar to provide
refreshments to quench your thirst plus coffee and tea. Members
will need to take their own picnic as there are no refreshment
facilities at Rousham House.
