Private sale - reimported RV8
Oxford Blue 1552 was built in April 1995 and reimported in December 2000 by Brown & Gammons. Taxed to February 2007 with an MOT to March 2007 and complete with the private registration number C7 MGR.

The RV8s are a piece of motoring history and a rare sight on the road, turning heads every time you take a drive. This really is a first class RV8, in wonderful condition. I know everyone selling an RV8 will say it is in excellent order, but having compared mine to a fair few other RV8s over the last couple of years, I can honestly say I have little doubt she is one of the best you will see - and at this price - probably the best you will see. To start with she is in Oxford Blue, one of only 280 or so made in this colour, and unarguably the best colour for the car. The paint work is virtually unmarked.

She's done 19,000 miles and has been regularly serviced, with a good history and mountains of paperwork. Four new tyres on good condition wheels with an unused spare.

One of the particular highlights of this car is the incredibly good condition of the interior - her woodwork has a good colour and grain and is in excellent condition. The leather is equally good, very clean indeed. Original clean MG floor mats and carpet. All plastic work is clean and un-faded. The heater controls are all new, (almost all RV8's have a stiff heater control knob that won't close off completely to the cold stop, due to poor routing of the control cable - take a look at other RV8s and you'll see what I mean - this one has been replaced and works perfectly (probably the only car you'll find where it does!).

The air con is intact and works perfectly. Windscreen has been sorted out and has no corrosion. She has a set of new Clive Wheatley Koni shocks fitted - don't bother looking at an RV8 without these as they make such a difference to the ride and handling. She comes with a Tracker fitted and a high quality Nakamichi CD-35z radio/CD. She has a complete original tool roll and wheel chocks/jack etc. Hood is original and in excellent condition. All her bright-work is in perfect condition and under the bonnet she is very clean with highly polished original rocker covers. She has a full and half tonneau and a high quality removable rear wind baffle trimmed in the same leather as the cockpit. Finally she has a cotton car cover to keep all the above in pristine condition - this is not the kind of car you'll want to keep open to the elements.

By now you should have got the impression that this is a really special car. But don't take my word for it - she is known to Clive Wheatley and I'm sure either Clive or Steve will be happy to will tell you this is a really nice example. At this price, I'm confident the first to see her will buy. There are RV8s on sale for less, even Oxford Blue ones, but you get what you pay for with these cars. Shop around by all means, but if you are looking for the best, this is the car for you. Price: £16,000
