Completed car
The rebuild with a Heritage shell and conversion with V8 power was completed in 1996 when the engine had a twin SU carburettor set up used on the Factory MGBGTV8 models. The photos of the work in progress show the complete rear axle prior to fitting and a fully carpeted boot. See photos
Painting the shell
The photo record shows the shell in primer as it went off for painting and then as it returned looking very striking in VW Tornado Red. The photos show front wiring loom, heater, lights, bumper and brake servo fitted and a photo of the Interior wiring loom and additional fuse board fitted. See photos
Shell stage of the build
This V8 Roadster was built from a Heritage shell with an aluminium bonnet. A single 12 volt battery was fitted to the offside battery box and the other battery box was lined as a useful tool store. The photographic record of the build provides a useful guide to the quality of this car. See photos
