How
do I get to the White Horse at Woolstone in Oxfordshire from Witney
after the BMH tour?
Leaving
the BMH Body Plant at Witney, you turn left into Downs Road, cross
the A40 and travel to the T junction with the A4095 where you turn
right for Faringdon.
The road heads south.
You pass through the village of Lew and shortly after, over to your
right you will see the military airfield at Brize Norton. You then
pass through the villages of Bampton and Clanfield and then you
cross the upper reaches of the Thames. You then approach Faringdon
and meet a T junction on the edge of the town with no road signs!
In fact you turn right into the town.
You leave Faringdon heading to a roundabout on the main A420 road.
Turn right onto the A420 and then after a mile or so, turn left
on to a minor road for Little Coxwell, Fernham and Uffington.
In Uffington you arrive next to Tom Brown's Museum (near the church),
where you bear right and shortly after leaving the village you turn
right and half a mile later left for Woolstone. The White Horse
pub is in the centre of the small village of Woolstone.
The photos below illustrate the route.
