V8 Maintenance Day

Unfortunately this event has had to be cancelled because the number of members who had booked to attend was not sufficient to justify running the event, particularly the various speakers travelling to the venue at Sywell near Northampton.

It is disappointing in many ways as Clive Wheatley had arranged for an additional presentation on a new dual fuel installation on an RV8 supported by the specialist who carried out the work. An article on that installation will be published in a few weeks time together with the very interesting material prepared by Dave Wellings on two interesting topics for MGBGTV8 enthusiasts - winter storage and his long term ownership tips. The event would have also been a good opportunity for fellow members to meet up at a convenient, central location. (21.5.08)
Event cancelled
This event will would have provided V8 enthusiasts with a range of presentations on interesting MGV8 and RV8 maintenance topics. Each speaker would have described a maintenance operation and highlighted the key areas of concern and ways to tackle the job effectively. The presentations would have been supported by slide shows and in some cases with V8 parts on a table to illustrate points highlighted by the speaker.

A full refund will be made to all those members who had booked and paid for a place at this event. Each member will get a personal email shortly followed in the next week by a refund by cheque.
