Annual V8 Curry Evening - Saturday 10th February 2018
A curry evening has been an annual tradition since February 1979 when the first V8 Curry evening was held in Epsom. It was arranged by a V8 Register founder member, Peter Beadle, then parts manager at the local UM branch. It has continued ever since as an intinerant event - moving to Putney when arranged by Mike Maude-Roxby, then to Watford, a number of years at Bourne End near Marlow, several years in Cambridge and now for five or more years at a very pleasant restaurant in Knowle near Solihull in the West Midlands. It's held on Saturday evening, the day before the annual MG Show at Stoneleigh nearby. More
Visit to the Symphony Hall in Birmingham - Wednesday 30th May 2018 - provisional
Two very able organists in the V8 Register will contribute to this event at the magnificent concert hall in Birmingham. Further details of the location, timing, access, costs and parking arrangements will be available in a briefing webpage for the event to be released on the V8 Website. More

Visit to Packwood House - Thursday 31st May 2018 - provisional
Visit to the house and gardens at Packwood. Although Packwood is justifiably famous for its wonderful tapestries, there are many beautiful items in the collection, ranging from exquisite painted stained glass dating from the 16th century, to a whole 1930s bathroom lined with old delft tiles. The Yew Garden at Packwood is considered one of Britain’s major topiary gardens and Packwood’s most significant feature. The largest yew trees date from around the 1600s but the garden originally started its life as an orchard and has evolved into its present appearance over the past 350 years. More

Enjoy a guided tour of the seven storey brewery and followed by lunch at the brewery cafe on the Friday of the MG Car Club's annual MGLive! weekend meeting at Silverstone. Lunch there is a tradition many members enjoy. More

V8 Dinner at the Star Inn at Sulgrave - Friday 1st June 2018 - provisional
Many annual V8 Dinners were held in the village of Sulgrave so returning there for our 40th anniversary dinner will be a nostalgic reminder for many longstanding members of those earlier years. For current members it will be an opportunity to meet up and enjoy the hospitality of the Star Inn and the tradition of the eight 4 minute toasts! Details of the booking arrangements will be released in January 2018. More

V8 Technical Day - Saturday 14th July 2018
The V8 Technical Day 2018 will be held at the John Thornley Suite at the MG Car Club's Headquarters at Kimber House in Abingdon. If you have never visited Club HQ before now is your chance! The suite is a purpose built room with state of the art presentation equipment. The programme for the day will cover Rechipping an RV8 engine with Mark Adams of Tornado Systems, Replacement Mazda gearboxes for the MGB & MGBGTV8 with Christian Disney of Vitesse and a Technical Q&A session with questions sumitted ahead of the event but some taken from those attending on the day. More
V8 Derbyshire Tour 2018 - Sun 2nd - Thurs 6th September 2018
The next tour in the popular series will be based in Derbyshire. The event will include touring the beautiful scenic routes around Derbyshire dales including the Peak District National Park. The visits will include Haddon Hall described as the most perfect house to have survived from the Middle Ages, Renishaw Hall and Gardens (home of the Sitwell family), Crich Tramway Village and the Denby Pottery village. Booking has opened and full details are available on the information webpage. More
Rolling road session at Aldon - Saturday 8th September 2018 - awaiting confirmation
The day will be a relaxed event with members enjoying time spent with fellow enthusiasts. The £40.00 fee covers a fuelling setup check, timing adjustment check and at least two power plots – it’s really good value for money for often owners receive far more than these three items, sometimes cars having considerable time spent on them in a bid to find the ideal setup. Details of the booking arrangements will be released in January 2018. More
