Rodrigues reports the SWISS-MGV8 group's annual weekend drive-in event was very
enjoyable last weekend.
News
of the next weekend meeting in 2014 based at Valais
Plans to arrange this
popular annual event based at the beautiful mountain village of Les Diablerets
in September 2014 are being developed with the support of fellow member Michel
Borghi who lives in the French part of Switzerland (Valais). Victor Rodrigues
says the " Swiss-French canton of Valais is a fantastic area" and he
hopes many UK and Mainland European V8 members would like to attend the event.
"Details of the programme and dates will follow as soon as they are available".

SWISS-MGV8 group celebrated both the 40th Anniversary of the launch of the MGBGTV8
in August 1973 and the 35th anniversary of the launch of the V8 Register in 1978
at their annual meeting held this year over the weekend of of 21st & 22nd
September. The 25 participants with their 16 MGV8 cars travelled to Böblingen/Stuttgart
and enjoyed staying at the very appropriately named "V8-Hotel" for the
Gala Dinner.
The group also visited the Porsche-Museum in
Stuttgart
on Sunday, where the famous model Porsche |
911
is currently celebrating its 50th anniversary. Victor Rodrigues says "we
were also very pleased to welcome our friends from Germany
Walter and Victoria
Klinkner (RV8) and Kai and Claudia Knickmann (MGBGTV8) who joined the group for
the Gala Dinner." Photo report
