a members' motor club, the personal introduction of fellow MG enthusiasts
has always been one of the main ways new members have joined our Club.
Existing Club members are well placed to recruit new members as they
know the Club well and the services and support that are available.
This is particularly the case with V8 enthusiasts because members
of the V8 Register know we have a great deal to offer new members
in terms of support and services - two useful workshop notes series
with useful spares and maintenance tips, an active V8 bulletin board
and an interesting, lively and topical website which is rated very
highly by our members.
Membership
recruitment scheme launched
A membership recruitment scheme has been launched by the Club and
V8 Register members can contribute to the membership drive by recruiting
fellow V8 enthusiasts and get a reward for each new member joining
the Club from your referral. To help you there are some A5 sized
handbills which include an application form you can hand out to
potential members at meetings and other social contacts between
MG enthusiasts. The handbill mentions the benefits of membership
of the MG Car Club and several easy ways the potential new member
can join or get more information online or by telephoning Club Office.

Reward for
each new recruit
The reward for recruiting a member straightforward - Club members
will receive a £2.00 Club voucher for each new member they
introduce who pays an initial annual subscription and completes
the joining process mentioning the name of the introduce written
on the application form, with no upper limit on the amount of aggregate
incentive payments made to any Club member whilst the scheme remains
live. The evidence of the introduction shall be the name of the
Club member and their membership number who has introduced the new
member - so do remember to put your name and Club number on each
form you hand out! Where a new member joins by telephone or online,
do remind the applicant to quote your name and membership number
when they make their application. Any Club member who receives five
or more vouchers can redeem them in blocks of five through Club
Office for a £10.00 cheque. Only one incentive payment will
be made for each new member who completes the joining process.
The Club reserves the sole right to decide on any aspect or to modify
of the incentive scheme, and its decision shall be final. The scheme
shall run for an initial period of six months but may be extended
or terminated at any time as the Club shall decide at its sole discretion.
