Rolling V8 Calendar of V8 Events
We have a compact programme of events each year. Full details of each event and the contacts are set out on the Rolling V8 Calendar which we try to roll forward by 15 to 18 months to give members good notice - particularly for overseas members planning a visit to the UK. The principal V8 Event is the annual V8 Gathering at the International MG Meeting at Silverstone organised by the MG Car Club where we have a large marquee and a dedicated V8 parking area alongside over the three days of the long weekend meeting.

Plans for a
V8 Party to le Mans
Chris Vernon and John Henke are taking their V8s to le Mans 24 Hours again. Chris says "We always book via Motor Racing International (call 01304 612424) who do a very good hospitality package and have a good allocation of campsites, which are almost impossible to get independently. For 2005 we are going back to the Maison Blanche campsite which is inside the circuit ". As far as crossing the Channel is concerned, Chris says he will be "travelling out by ferry from Dover on Thursday morning from Dover at about 6am and returning Monday at about 7pm". "The drive down to the Circuit is as much fun as the race!" If you want join them,
book now if you want to camp because MRI have told Chris they are filling up fast and once the camping allocation has gone, that's it!. When you have booked, let Chris know what you are doing so he can coordinate things. If you have alternative plans it will be well worthwhile liaising with Chris so you can meet up over the weekend. (23.10.04)

Chris Vernon can be contacted at Chris Vernon for more information. Tim Hipwell also went to le Mans 2004 in his RV8 and will be pleased to help members planning to go the le Mans 2005, just contact him at Tim Hipwell
