| If
you have ever wondered what goes into making a panel assembly for your MG then
you can now see a short video showing how the skilled craftsmen at the BMH Body
Plant at Witney make an MGB front wing. It's done in the same way as they were
made at Abingdon back in the 1960s. Fifteen parts go into a front wing and the
assembly with the welding , dressing and finishing takes an hour. Then the finished
wing is sent to an industrial paint company where it's degreased and completely
coated in an electrophoretic primer to provide long term rust protection. That
treatment can accept normal finishing primers without having to be stripped first.
